On Saturday September 3
rd, Oak Park Cross country traveled to Liberty to compete in the Tim Nixon Invitational.
This year, the meet was held at Capitol Federal Park, an all-new course.

Caden Willmann took advantage of the new location, Habila running 17:16 and Willmann running 17:39. '23
Aiden Kendrick built off his time last week at the NKC schools time trial finishing with a time of 19:14. Kendrick was followed by
Ross Ramsey running a personal record of 19:29, and
Patrik McAdams with a personal record of 19:35.
In the junior varsity race,
Tyler Vanderhoorn and
Lincoln McKinnis continue to show lots of potential, Tyler running a personal record of 19:45 and Lincoln right behind him with a personal record of 19:46. Mitchell Foster also ran in the Junior Varsity race and finished with a personal record of 20:57.
On the girls side, '23
Alexis Platz and '24 Reese Lesch participated in the girls varsity 5k. Platz ran a time of 22:29, and Lesch following behind with a time of 22:55.
To get into the season, some of our athletes ran the 3k race.
'23
Tory Lanham finished with a 13:14, the fastest time out of all Oak Park athletes in the 3k race.
The team showed lots of potential and hope to continue rolling in the coming weeks.
