Habila and Thomas Punch Tickets to State

On Saturday October 29th, Oak Park cross country traveled to Kearney to compete in the district meet. In order to qualify for state this Friday, athletes had to place in the top 30. 24’ Ali Habila placed 21st to punch his ticket to the state meet! On the girls’ side 23’ Alaina Thomas also made a top 30 finish to make it to state! Congratulations to these 2 athletes!

Ali Habila and Alaina Thomas will be traveling down to Columbia on Thursday to run the state meet this Friday. Good luck to these athletes!

This race also marked the end to a couple senior seasons. 22’ Aiden Kendrick ran his last race and finished with his best time on the course at 18:51. 22’ Alexis Platz also finished out her season with a respectable time of 23:04. Both seniors were incredible leaders and have bright futures ahead of them, along with all other seniors that wrapped up their seasons.
