David Toliver – Oak Park Wrestling
Senior | 2024-2025 Season
David Toliver is entering his senior year at Oak Park High School, marking his fourth season as a dedicated member of the wrestling team. Over the years, he has earned multiple accolades, including being named Most Improved Wrestler twice, Most Academic Wrestler, and securing his varsity letter three times.
David credits Coach Taylor and Coach Sweet for their significant influence on his development as a wrestler. His favorite memory from the sport is traveling with his team to different tournaments and staying in hotels, strengthening bonds and creating unforgettable experiences.
Athleticism runs in his family, with his parents having played basketball and football. Beyond wrestling, David is involved in Leadership at Oak Park and follows the DIT pathway academically. His favorite subject is math, reflecting his analytical mindset.
In the off-season, he stays prepared by running and training in jiujitsu, a sport he plans to compete in after high school. He keeps himself motivated with the phrase:
"Your mind will give up before your body does."
David Toliver is ready to make his senior year one to remember, both on and off the mat.
