Oak Park High School is proud to congratulate six outstanding members of the girls' volleyball team,
Alia Martinez,
Giselle Vang,
Grace Vanderbeek,
Bennett Burnside,
Julie Tribusova, and
Delaney Harbrucker. These ladies earned Academic All-State honors this season. This prestigious recognition highlights their ability to excel both on the court and in the classroom, demonstrating their dedication to hard work, perseverance, and time management.
Â
For these student athletes, balancing rigorous academics with competitive volleyball requires strong discipline and support. Harbrucker shared that using a planner helps her stay organized, while Tribusova prioritizes finishing schoolwork during the day to focus on volleyball after school. Though the challenge can be overwhelming at times, Harbrucker  views sports as a mental break that refreshes her for academics. Their efforts would not be possible without the support of their families, coaches, and teammates, who have helped them navigate the demands of a student athlete life.
Â
Earning Academic All-State is a testament to their commitment to excellence, preparing them for future success in college and beyond. These athletes have not only demonstrated their skill on the court but also showcased leadership, discipline, and adaptability qualities that will serve them well in their future endeavors. Congratulations to these incredible student athletes on this well deserved achievement!
