The Oak Park volleyball team has two new record-holders this season, as Mahleah Lambright and Alia Martinez continue to dominate on the court!
Mahleah Lambright has rewritten the record books in a huge way. She broke the 24-year-old school record for most kills per game in a single season, which was previously set at 6.44. Mahleah has topped that with an incredible 8.61 kills per game! But that's not all—she also broke the record for most kills per game over an entire career. This is an amazing achievement for Maleah, as the previous record of 4 was held by the legendary Orie Agbaji. Mahleah now stands tall at 6.27 kills per game!
Meanwhile, Alia Martinez is setting records of her own. She crushed the single season assists per game record, which stood at 10.7 since 2012. Alia is now at a staggering 19.6 assists per game! But her season of milestones isn't over yet, Alia is just six aces away from breaking the single season record for aces. We're all rooting for her to reach this goal!
