Pre-game ritual can be anything from wearing certain clothes, eating a specific food, or even small actions. Many athletes have their own unique pre-game rituals. These actions help athletes mentally prepare for their game. We went around asking some of OP's athletes what their pre-game rituals are.

Â
Ethan Smith (Cross Country):
- "We run 3-mile run (easy pace), 6 150m build ups, 1 mile cool down, pasta dinner the night before."
Logan Linard (Football):
- "Cold cut combo from subway with lettuce, spinach, onions, and mayo. I also listen to 'lose yourself' when we get off the bus."
Gabe Todtenhausen (Baseball):
- "I don't have a pre-game ritual, but I do have a ritual when I get in the batter's box, I step in with my right foot then my left foot and adjust my helmet"
Sam Salgado (Soccer):
- "I eat 2 cuties an hour before"
Madi Rulon (Volleyball)
"Before a game, I always mentally prep and see myself performing each set, serve and pass perfectly. During the game I am always super nervous, so I am always reminding myself to take deep breathes between points. Simple, but it helps."
