It's official!
Robbie Hill Swims into the Oak Park High School Record Books and Captures Two State Championships and Sets the State Record for Class 1 in Both Events while capturing 2-All-American!!
It was an unbelievable atmosphere at the pool in St. Peters, MO for the State meet. Everyone in the stands knew that the swimmer from Oak Park had a chance to set a new record and capture the title, the only thing they weren't anticipating was that
Robbie Hill did it twice!!
Hill's success started on Thursday, breaking the Class 1 record in the 100-back in 49.28 seconds, upending the 50.89 set by Cape Girardeau Central's Jacob Bening in 2018. But that was just the beginning for the '20 Hill. He would swim a 48.98 in finals, narrowly eclipsing the four-year-old mark of 48.99 by Vianney's Nick Alexander, who is now an All-SEC second-team swimmer at Mizzou.
Hill also set a Class 1 record earlier in the meet with a 1:48.62 in the 200-individual medley.
