Tana Stock is a dedicated coach with a lifelong passion for tennis. She attended North Kansas City High School before pursuing her education at Missouri State University, where she also played tennis.
Tana's journey as a coach began with her love for the sport since second grade, coupled with her desire to teach and mentor young athletes.
"I started playing tennis in the second grade and loved the sport. I always wanted to be a teacher and coach, for as long as I can remember."
With over 40 years of coaching experience, Tana's philosophy revolves around making each day a positive experience for her athletes. She draws inspiration from her high school tennis coach and aims to instill values of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship in her players.
Tana has been a part of Oak Park High School for over three decades, teaching Physical Education for 31 years before retiring in 2015. However, her passion for coaching led her to continue as the head girls tennis coach, a role she has held for almost 40 years.
Beyond the court, Tana finds joy in her family life, being married to Curtis and having two daughters who graduated from Oak Park High School.
