Adam Heslinga, hailing from Shenandoah, Iowa, is a dedicated coach for boys basketball at Oak Park High School. In high school, Adam excelled in both basketball and baseball, earning All-Conference and All-District honors for three years. He furthered his education at Missouri Western University, playing college baseball for a year.

Inspired by the chance to positively influence student-athletes' lives daily, Adam's coaching philosophy centers around bringing a positive attitude and energy to everything he does. A standout moment in his coaching career was the thrilling victory over Hickman Mills to advance to the final four last year. Throughout his journey, Coach Heslinga found mentorship from Jeff Langrher, the Head Coach at Harrisonville.

At Oak Park High School, he teaches Physical Education and AVID, bringing his passion for sports and education into the classroom. With two years of teaching and coaching experience at Oak Park, Adam's coaching expertise was honed through previous stints at Smithville, Harrisonville, Leavenworth, and Lawrence Free State.

In his personal life, Adam treasures his family, including his wife Jasmine, son Xavier, and two beloved dogs, Baxter and Bravo.

His commitment to coaching and teaching reflects his dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of his students and athletes.
