Gabriella "Gabby" Mina: A Talented Dancer with a Passion for Science
Gabriella "Gabby" Mina is a seasoned dancer who has been perfecting her craft for over 14 years. While she’s only spent 3 years at Oak Park High School, her long history in dance has made her a standout. Although none of her family members have pursued dance, Gabby’s commitment and love for the art have helped her achieve great success.
Throughout her high school years, Gabby has received notable accolades, including a 9th place finish in a duo routine with Hailey Lynn and several 1st place awards in team routines. One of her fondest memories comes from her sophomore year when she and her team traveled to Florida for the DTU Nationals. The experience was unforgettable and marked a major highlight in her dance career.
Off the competition floor, Gabby approaches her off-season with a focus on rest, but she always ensures she stays active. She prioritizes stretching and maintaining her flexibility so she doesn’t lose her mobility. This dedication to her physical well-being speaks to her passion for dance and her desire to keep improving.
Outside of dance, Gabby has a natural talent for science, with her favorite class at Oak Park being Human Anatomy and Physiology. She finds these subjects more intuitive than other areas of study, which helps her excel in the classroom.
Although Gabby has yet to find a coach who’s had a specific influence on her journey, her ability to self-motivate and thrive speaks to her inner drive. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in the classroom, Gabby Mina’s work ethic, talent, and curiosity are sure to continue propelling her forward.
