Mallory Mahon is the Assistant Director of Bands at Oak Park High School and Director of Bands at Antioch Middle School. She teaches marching band, concert band, 6th grade band, 7th grade band, and 8th grade band. Mrs. Mahon started her teaching career in 2008 with the St. Joseph School District assisting high school and middle school band. In 2011, she became the Director of Bands for the Maysville R-1 School District where she was responsible for all 6-12 instrumental music activities. She is thrilled to begin teaching for the North Kansas City School District.
Mrs. Mahon holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Methodist University and is finishing her Master's in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. She lives in Kansas City with her husband Darin and two children, Naomi and Emmett. She is an active musician, clinician and adjudicator in Missouri. Mrs. Mahon is a member of Missouri Music Educators Association, Missouri Bandmasters Association, and the National Education Association.
