Oak Park baseball is just starting conference play with a 7–13 record. They are 1–0 in conference after a win over St. Joe Central. Next up, they play Staley this Friday the 24th at The Yard.
Even with a rough start, the team is staying positive. One junior said that once they get on a roll, they can be a scary team. A sophomore added that when everything starts to click, they can make a real run.
This team is still getting used to playing together, and their chemistry is still growing, but the players, coaches, and fans all believe in what this team can do.
Now the big question is: will everything come together at the right time?
