Drew Chamberlin for Performer of the Week!

An Interview + Special Halloween Questions

This week, we celebrate our performer of the week, theater's very own lead actor: Drew Chamberlin! Theater director Ashpaugh described Drew as having "Stood out amongst the crowd as a star with his acting, singing, and dancing, making him a triple threat, and is also a very adaptable performer willing to try new things to stretch his skills."

To learn more about him, we asked Drew to participate in an interview, and included some special Halloween questions! Here were his responses:
(Interview by David Withee)

Question: How long have you been in theater, and what made you join?
A: "I've been in theater since fall of my freshman year, I started with the musical Sister Act in 2022. I joined because it was just fun to dance and sing, but I've stayed in theater because of how much the process of rehearsal teaches me about myself and my own life through acting and expression."

Q: What has been your favorite memory from musical?
A: "Probably learning to play guitar for School of Rock my junior year, that was such a fun show to be in."

Q: If there was one person you had to say influenced you the most, who would you say that is, and how did they influence you?
A: "Probably this acting teacher named Stella Adler, her books have taught me so much."

Halloween Questions!

Q: If your group was a candy, what candy would describe it?
A: Skittles.

Q: Are you going as anything for Halloween?
A: I'm procrastinating until the night of, but yeah.

Next week, you'll be able to watch Drew and the rest of musical in action Thursday, Friday, and Saturday perform Tarzan! (Ticket and other information will be available later.) Congratulations Drew Chamberlin! Happy Halloween! AND GO NORTHMEN!!
