Overview: 

Friday night lights are shining as The Oak Park Northmen (5-0) prepare to take on The Lee’s Summit Tigers (2-3) in the Oak Park Athletic Complex this week. The Northmen last competed against the (3-2) Platte County Pirates and ended with a 35-14 win. (2-3) Lee’s Summit didn’t have the same luck and took a meaningful loss against cross town rival Lee’s Summit West with a score of 21-53. Lee’s Summit is going to come into this game with a hunger to win, but can the Northmen's Defense hold them?

Oak Park Northmen

The Northmen's Offense is a force to be reckoned with. The combination of the powerhouse offense line and the speedy running backs creates a dangerous team with lots of yards and plenty of touchdowns. Last game alone, the Northmen’s defense conjured up six interceptions, keeping the crowd on their toes.

Lee’s Summit Tigers

The Tigers’ offense looks promising with The Tigers’ quarterback, #16 ‘25 Dawson Heeney, having a current pass completion of over 63%, and he will definitely put the Northmen’s Defense to work. The Tigers' defense has showcased their ability to halt even the most potent offenses and fight until the game is over.

 

Obviously coming off a big win last week, we have to be sure that we lock-in on the next one. This is a game we felt we just missed last year, so there is some extra motivation for us to come out focused and do what we can to control the outcome...it doesn't hurt that we get to bring this one home to Oak Park.
