Main Gym
Oak Park High School Built in 1965, the buildings Main Gym features a full regulation high school basketball court with two retractable goals on the North and South ends (2018), and 4 retractable practice goals on the east/west sides (2018). The gym is also utilized for JV/Varsity Volleyball, and features two retractable nets for east/west competition (2018), and a floor mount net to create a single court running North/South. All home Varsity/JV wrestling meets are also set up in the Main gym which can accept 4 full mats for tournaments, or a 1 or 2 mat set-up with spotlights for duals.
The Main Gym features two Formetco LED Video Scoreboards (2018) which run video graphics, live video, stats, advertising, and scores and are maintained by N2Sports Marketing and Broadcast students. The Main Board 22'x12' is located on the Southeast wall and is used in conjunction with the Auxiliary board (9'x10') on the Northwest wall.
Seating in the Main Gym is comprised of a two level set-up which includes retractable bleachers (2021) on the upper and lower levels of the gym to help facilitate use on the floor level.
Full Capacity = 1800
The Main Gym Mezzanine are practice spaces behind the upper bleachers (when retracted) and are utilized for indoor practice locations for baseball and softball, as well as wrestling and spirit squads.
Parking and spectator access to the main gym can be found on the south side of the building near the tennis courts.
